Wow just when I was about to sit down to write about the 8th month, I realize I forgot to do 7 months...
I'll try to remember what I can, luckily the picture help me tell the story.
I always said that Blakelyn would roll back-to-front first because she is always working her ab muscles... and she did! Blakelyn rolled over from back-to-front on June 2, 2012. She has only rolled front-to-back on accident never on purpose. If Blakelyn is fussing on the floor, it's most likely because she has rolled to her tummy and can't figure out what to do... which leads me to the following morning after rolling over:

"It's too early for the flash"

"Enough with the camera mom, pick me up"

After a nap, this could make nap time more interesting...

I don't have a picture of it, nor a video, but Blakelyn will smile and laugh when we put a burp cloth on our shoulders... she knows she's about to get picked up!
Pictures:
Just can't stop playing.
Blakelyn loves to swing, it has become part of our nightly routine.
Blakelyn loves chew beads!
Cute monkey butt!
We went to Gatlinburg/Pidgeon Forge with some couples from our small group from church. This was our first out of town trip with Blakelyn that wasn't going to see the grandparents. Blakelyn of course loved it... lots of kids to watch, sounds to hear, and people to entertain her.
Blakelyn and Alex "playing."
As you can see they love playing together...
We went for a walk one afternoon so Blakelyn could practice her yoga.
"Sup"
Finally have a family picture of the THREE of us.
This is how pictures are usually taken, just 2 people at a time:
We began solids right after Blakelyn turned 6 months. She didn't show much interest until about 5.5 months, when she would stop what she was doing and mimic what we were doing.
So far Blakelyn loves: sweet potatoes, bananas, prunes, avocado. She didn't care for squash, it made her spit up; apples she didn't like at first, then warmed up to; peaches she liked, but then like the squash would make her spit up.
First tastes, rice "cereal" soup:

Sweet potatoes:
It must be good, her fingers have to approve.
Prunes, oh how we love prunes:
Fingers approve:
After she takes a bite, her fingers go into her mouth (reflux babies do this to help swallow and produce saliva to reduce reflux), then she flings her fingers back out and gets a mess everywhere...
"is there something worth taking a picture of"
Bryan's favorite onesie!
Beautiful Blakelyn!
Found a new toy!
Ripped them right off my face...
7 Month Photo Shoot:
So excited!
Hey look what I can grab.
Oh there's a ball here.
Oh Sophie, must chew Sophie.
Shake, rattle, and chew.
Whoo Hoo it's a clown! A new toy!
The clown is made by Bryan's grandmother (Blakelyn's great grandmother).
It doesn't taste very good.
I want to touch the whales.
Hey there ole buddy ole pal.
Getting too long to fit on here.
I clap with my feet, because my hands are busy.
We tried to get a roll in action...
Here I go:
Mid roll:
Landed... now what? how do I get back over?... that's a whole other story.
My First Mother's Day!
